Eric Green (CDV777-1) built a 1/6 scale Thunderbolt 1000T. He's the one to talk to about making a scale Thunderbolt model.lilrags16 wrote:I plan on building a 1/4 scale 1003. i need good pics and measurements( Also a patent number).

So I can make a Halon Technology Thunderbolt?!?uncommonsense wrote:The Thunderbolt is not patented.
At a mini scale? Sure.lilrags16 wrote:So I can make a Halon Technology Thunderbolt?!?uncommonsense wrote:The Thunderbolt is not patented.
Just because it has no patent doesn't mean you have all rights to do it (I don't think). I just see some weirdness happening if Federal were to be competing with a siren it used to produce.lilrags16 wrote:So I can make a Halon Technology Thunderbolt?!?
Well I think i could make a different version that federal might fear... :think:sirendude2012 wrote:Just because it has no patent doesn't mean you have all rights to do it (I don't think). Stick to small scale, like Mark N said.
They'd be very confused for one, seeing a siren they haven't made since 1990 back on the market in someone else's name. They'd be mad for two, as the Thunderbolt was designed by FS (granted in the early 50s).lilrags16 wrote:Well I think i could make a different version that federal might fear...
