Siren test in Poland

As in rural Germany, France, and Portugal, sirens are in common use by volunteer fire departments in Poland. As was the custom in Germany before the war, two sirens with different pitches were often used to distinguish a fire call from a civil defense alert. In Poland, however, the fire siren was usually high pitched unlike the German deep-tone (tiefton) fire siren. In this video, the two sirens are wired together. You can find many Polish siren videos using the search term "OSP syrena."

Those sirens sounds beautiful, thanks for sharing. They sound somewhat similar to the two shopmade sirens in Colerain, Ohio.

8/13 perhaps? I bumped it up a level on a sound board on my Nintendo and it came out to be a B flat and G natural.

One siren has 10 ports and the other sounds like it has 16. Here is another video of the same sirens.

Looks like there isn't a motor cover. They don't appear to have stator screens either. Wonder how long they'll last being semi exposed to the elements.

Looks like they've been there quite a while. Very few European sirens have covered motors.
