I was digging through some old photos of Arlington, VA and came across this photo in which a Thunderbolt is clearly visible in the top right corner. It was taken in 1988.

This location is visible in the 2007 street view at 1097 N Garfield St (the building that the siren is on still exists but is now surrounded by high rises). The siren appears to have been long since removed.
The only other DC siren location in Arlington that I know of is at 4444 N Old Glebe Rd. It is still standing and is listed on the VA siren map. I was wondering if anybody knew of any other Arlington locations besides these two.

I live in Northern Virginia. No sirens in the city of DC that I know of but message me and I'll tell you some sirens around the DC area.

Sorry for the bump, but me and Jared H. of Texas are keeping track of old WAWAS sirens because within the time between now and 2017, new information has come to light about the sirens being sold after removal in the early 90s as well as tell-tale indicators of former WAWAS units. Here is our map so far:

So am I correct in saying the system was based on an EPZ? It looks like the system crossed between states, unless these are multiple systems on the map.

I do not believe that is so. An EPZ is more a term that applies to nuclear power stations and this was purely a CD system.

By EPZ I mean that all the sirens were installed within a radius from a center point instead of within county or city limits. Seeing that this system went between multiple cities, counties and even states, is my statement true?
