Here is a test of Bartholomew County's Weather Warning System; ran every first Friday of the month at noon. They've got numerous Whelens, all of which uniquely run the hi-lo tone for tests and warnings alike. Most of their sirens are WPS-2809s with a majority of them located in nearby Columbus.

They've placed this one near the railroad on Washington Street. Initially, I thought they had a 4004 here which would make sense since the county does make live voice announcements. So once I saw the siren up close and in person for the first time, noticing this was actually a Vortex came at quite a surprise. I also couldn't find the right frequency to get the activation tones which also meant I had no heads up when this siren was going to run and bumped my head in the car when it did sound. Sometimes recording Whelens can be a pain...literally but oh well. It was fun anyway. Enjoy!
