My New Federal Model 5AT

Hello, I just got my Federal model 5AT on Thursday :lol:.I got it at George Gideon Auctioneers. Thank you to elc32955 for telling me about this auction. I plan on restoring the siren.

Saaaaay looks to me like you got one with stainless steel housing! If so then as far as I know (and please someone correct me if I'm wrong) you are the second here on the board to own a stainless model 5. I think yours truly here is the first? (Seriously... Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...)

That's not stainless, it's your average run-of-the-mill galvanized metal Model 5 housing. If it was stainless it wouldn't be rusted.

It is galvanized.

Oaaaaaaoooo... See mine has little rust spots on it but like... They aren't noticeable except up close.

I haven't been on in a while, but I'm happy you were able to get that siren. Here is a pic of it when it was still mounted back in 2004 =)

Very nice 5AT! Please when you work on this siren take photos of the rotor & stator I would like to see the designs of them.

Nice photo! Where exactly was it located? I was told by the auction house that it was from Volusia County. I am in the Ft. Lauderdale area.
