Air horns are used instead of sirens in most parts of Sweden and Norway. Does anyone have a recording of one?

There is a couple of recordings at the norweigan civil defence website.http://www.sivilforsvaret.no/presentation/index.asp They have record all the different kind of signals.
I?ll try to record next time when we testing our sirens in Sweden. Next time they are going to test them is in the beginning of september.

Sorry forget one thing. For all of you that don?t understand norweigan. Click on the link. Look for "Oppgaver" and then "Varsling til befolkningen" The sounds are " Viktigt melding- lytt p? radio" it means Alert- listen to national radio, Important message.
"Flyalarm". means Attack.
And "Faren over"- All clear.

Don?t know about the norweigan sirens. I just know that picture at the norweigan civil defence site. I will go for a picture hunt at home this month so stay tune. These sirens are not so effective. In my home town there lives aproximatly 10000 people and i think we have 44 sirens in our town. They are all directional and they are not rotating.

View from my kitchen window. That siren is located 50 feet from my house.

Up close of the same siren. The horn is one feet long and i think the dB rating is 120@100 feet.
