The only way to know would be to get up close and personal with one. It is my understanding the motors could be set to run at different speeds as well as coding dampers on either end. This would likely make it possible to do hi lo, and may have been one of the first sirens to accomplish a hi lo fire signal.

I thought they only used one motor. Also, like stated on my ad, they could be fitted with coding dampers, but I'm not sure any are out there with them.

I could see about acquiring it from salisbury before it becomes a likely victim of roof renovations.

The Fedelcode model 20 is actually a Fedelcode Model 10. It features a 10 HP motor, and was available in 8, and 9/12 port ratios. The real Fedelcode model 20 is a larger model 5 with a 20 horsepower motor.

Have you got any evidence to back this up? This stands counter to the community's understanding of the Model 20 (and never seen any documentation of the Model 10). There was unfounded speculation earlier in the thread that was not evidence backed.

One of their old ads marketed the mode 20 as an oversized model 5. Edaan Friedman also knows about the 10hp thing.

Ok so, I request to know, how loud are Fedelcode model “20”s? Well how loud are these actually? It’s been in my head for a long time.
