Thunderbolt 1003 question.

Can someone who is familier with Thunderbolt 1003 switch panels tell me what these are used for?

My guess is they are for different signals.

It controls the two solonoids. This allows them to be activated manually for testing

Welp, I know where I'll be on the 7th. If you'd like to chat, just look for the dark-haired dork standing next to a camera on a tripod.
Don't quote me on this, but I beieve if you flip the "modulator" switch, the cam wheel for the solenoids will engage, thereby allowing the solenoids to operate as they would if the "fire" button were pressed on an AF timer.

If you're talking about the RCM3 or the panel in the picture then here's what the switches do.

Modulator - Manually Cycles the solenoids like the AF timer would when "FIRE" (Red Button) would be pressed on the timer.

Tone 1 and Tone 2 - Control each solenoid on the "bowtie".

the flasher (beside the switches) there is a little thing to control the speed of the solenoids how fast they open and close.
