What do I bring when recording a test?

So I recently realized my city would be replacing a siren in a few months (the siren in question is the last of its kind in my city and its starting to show its age) so I decided to record what could be its last test. I have never recorded a test before and generally when I know about an upcoming test I will just sit on my porch to hear the symphony of sirens and thus I have no idea what to bring or just any precautions to take. I have decided to watch from a parking garage across the street from the building that the siren is located on that is approximately 100 feet away. I am relatively new to the siren community so any help would be appreciated.

Bring a camera, a tripod, and hearing protection.
If you want a behind the scenes thing, I recommend bringing a phone or a gopro.

Camera, tripod, hearing protection, maybe a drone or microphone if you want to be fancy.

It depends on how "formal" you want to be with documenting it. You could use the bare minimum and just bring your phone and a tripod, if not a rock or brick or something to keep it stable. If you want to be more professional with it, a camera and tripod, along with hearing protection if you don't want to risk having hearing damage and maybe another camera or drone for a more interesting video (or even videos.) Scanners for activation tones also seem to be appreciated among a large chunk of the community, however, that's completely optional just like a second camera or drone.
