Model 2?

Tue Dec 21, 2021 11:11 pm

I was checking around the Sedalia MO area on google maps and I found this thing. I think it's a Model 2 but I'm not sure.

That is indeed a Federal Signal Model 2.

That looks similar to a Model 2, but it could be a Model 1 due to its size.

Try get some close-up shots and see what we get.

Here is some of my info on the Model 1:

The model 1 was a 1HP, 100 decibel siren with the capabilities of being mounted with little trouble due to its size and weight.

The model 1 consisted of 3-6 louvers stacked on the siren, although there could be more or less. It’s 1HP design lead to it overheating sometimes but if on the right voltage it would not. This is partially to the reason why it was discontinued.

See if that helps.

That isn't a model 1, that's a brand new model 2. It's white and you can barely make out the warning labels.
Also has 3 louvers stacked exactly like a 2.

It could be a Model 1, I know it sounds idiotic but it can be.

uh, no?
thats rather clearly a brand new model 2. I don't know why you think its a 1. the louver spacing is wrong and as previously said, you can barely make out the labels.

I'm going to lock this. the question has been answered and I don't think the topic is going the proper direction anymore.
