Hey everyone,

So, about a week ago I emailed the Lombard Fire Chief about the Thunderbolt 1000A by the Highway (the chopper broke, so I let him know and here's what happened). So, he told me that they were aware of the malfunction, and he said the siren company (Braniff) has the necessary parts and is gonna fix it sometime this week. I'll update as soon as I get a response from him or someone. If you have any updates, please let me know. Thanks!

Oh yeah, I did hear about that! Imagine if it gets turned into a 4/5 port on a C-series lol! I doubt it though.

Here's what the siren looks like for anyone wondering. (I also have a better camera now, but these photos are form this past summer.)

Yeah. I wonder what they'll do with the chopper, if they'll put a dual tone one in or fix the issue(s) that happened without putting a dual tone one in. It'll be interesting to see!

Update: It's been fixed! Image I'm unsure what port ratio it is now though.

UPDATE: The Thunderbolt is no longer a 1000, it is a 1000T, or could be specifically called 1000ATSC. It has got a new 5/6 chopper and is fully functional. Now we need the Thunderbolt on Madison Elem. to be fixed.

Yep, it sure is. I wonder if they're ever going to fix or just replace Madison. Image Also, here's a pic of Madison.

Me and @DangerousNoodle went there for July's monthly test... meter seemed to have exploded and burned, siren failed along with the whole county, and we had overall a catastrophic failure in Lombard. We will try again a different time.
