The Official U.S.A. Siren Map

Sat Mar 12, 2022 2:50 am

It's always been talked about, but nobody has fully done it, but here it is. After many years of hard work thanks to lots of hard working contributors, I give you the "Official U.S.A. Siren Map" Over 50,000+ across all 50 states. Please note that the map is still being worked on, however if you find any mistakes or missing location, please don't hesitate to reach out to one of the editors, or use the google form linked in the map description. We recommend only having one layer open to minimize the lag as it is a large map. We'd also recommend running on your PC or Laptop. Please let me know if you have any questions in regards to the map, and please, enjoy!

The 2T22 in Russellville, Arkansas, is long gone. According to my grandmother, she said it was used as a fire siren and was removed around 2010.
I still post here, but not as much as I used to.

This is a great idea, but one that probably needs some tweaking. A full all-in-one map of the US (or the world) is just not practical. Already, it takes several minutes to load on my high end gaming PC, and that's without everything populated.

My suggestion would be to break everything down by states/provinces and list them that way. Combine data from the multiple/duplicate maps available of many states, and just have them in a master list, and present the data in a standardized fashion as user maps are always very disjointed from each other. Breaking things up makes things MUCH more manageable to both you and the end user. Again, this is a great idea, and with the help of more members of the siren community, this will be an awesome project!
