Here's the supposed BGAD AL-7200s.
They certainly look like the Alertronics. Has anyone been over there to take pictures?
Not really something that anyone can do. It's government/army-owned property; you can't really just walk on in to the facility and go get pictures. If you did pull something like that off, then congrats on being sent to federal prison

Only idea I got is if someone can contacts somebody there about the sirens and see if they'd be nice enough to get pictures. I'd be very surprised if there'd be somebody willing to do that.
Haha yeah makes sense. Don't think anyone there knows or cares enough to go out of their way either.

This is somewhat unrelated but as long as there is a thread about Oak Ridge I may as well ask. Apparently, according to a map, there are two Whelen 3000s suspended from a water tower? Where is the proof of this?
i have photos of them form a few months ago on my trip over there
Would you send them by any chance? Also, those sirens in the satellite photos look undoubtedly like T-121s. There doesn't appear to be more than one layer to them, and a T-121 missing a horn is not implausible.
sorry no i cant i cant find the photos right now

From what I've gathered through Google Earth, streetview, and actual field visits from people, there is only one Alertronic AL-7200 left standing; that being the one on Scarboro Road. The one on Blair Road and Perimeter Road, at the K-25 plant, were removed around 2020-2021. The two located within the K-25 plant were removed a number of years ago.

Locations in and around Oak Ridge were removed or replaced sometime in 2012, most of them being replaced with T-121s or the occasional T-135 AC/DC. The earliest known replacement of one of these sirens was around late 2004, this unit being located just northwest of the disc golf course. On Google Earth, it can be seen still standing, but there is a T-121 just on the other side of the road.

So far, Oak Ridge is the only known buyer of AL-7200s, however, there are some speculations that there were four located at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Kentucky. Satellite view really makes it look convincing that there are 7200s at BGAD, although I'm a bit skeptical of this as there is one particular unit that looks to be outright missing a horn, and I would be quite surprised if something was able to completely remove three horns in one vertical row. Makes me wonder if A.C.A. made different configurations of this series, and this particular unit is a single-row model. Unfortunately, there's really only one way to find out; that being to go and get pictures.
Could we see the satellite images?
Here's the supposed BGAD AL-7200s.
Is it alright if you can send the coordinates? I want to try checking using Bing Maps aerial.

Just checked now. From the looks of it, there is a control box on them similar to an Alertronic. Unfortunately it’s too grainy to really tell, which is pretty disappointing as usually the birds eye view is really clear.

I actually highly appreciate this bump, as I had missed this thread. A low quality street view grab of one of these was posted WAY back at the beginning of the Mystery Sirens thread and caused quite the argument over whether or not it was even a siren. I had not seen anything relevant to them until now, (aside from the near identical "Mooing Tsunami Sirens" over seas. Age-old question answered!

I saw those mooing sirens on youtube, damn are they weird, lol. Also, is there any actual number of how many of these sirens are left?
