Alaska Tsunami Sirens

Was watching some videos from the 2020 Alaska earthquake / tsunami scare.. from what it sounds like, a good portion of coastal towns have a bunch of "close proximity" grids consisting of DSA's, Modulators, Alertronics, etc.. (Kodiak's system sounds terrifying). From the looks of it, these are located on almost every fire station, as well as general coverage posts.
On that note, check out this "Goldmine" if you will, I found on Google Maps at the Seward Fire Department. Roof mounted (on a one story, looks HUGE) Mobil Directo (i think..?), right next to a DSA4 (also not 100% sure). Then in the background you can spot a pole mounted Mod.
Sadly, the last street view is from 2011, and a review pic posted in May of last year indicates the Mobil Directo has been taken down...

Thought it was worth a share! And please feel free to correct me if I did not get these sirens right!

The "DSA4" is a Whelen WS-2016.

I wonder why they had the upper projector on the Mobil Directo sideways.

Who knows! I saw a historic photo from the 1950s showing it in the exact position it is now. Amazing to think it's been like that for so long

Alaska has a fairly similar system to Washington state's AHAB system - a system of Modulators sprinkled throughout the coastline.

From what I remember hearing, It was sideways because people complain it was too loud so they put it sideways to not disturb people.
Dumb I know, but that's what I heard.

IIRC, that directo got removed and the 2000 was either replaced by that mod or is the replacement for the directo.
