Tollville, Arkansas B&N Mobil Directo

Sun Jan 22, 2023 6:11 pm

Last May I traveled to the very small and rural town of Tollville to photograph what I thought was a type 1 allertor. Turns out it was a butchered directo. No idea the status on it as I couldn’t find anyone to contact in town.

I'd love to steal that projector!

Looks like it was part of a gas powered model, as it has retained the clutch bellhousing. Would really like to tear it apart and see how they rigged this up!

Would be tempting to offer to trade them a proper model 2 or 5 in exchange for the thing!

It has the trademark gasser bellhousing on the back of the stator plate, so I would assume so! The one picture of showing the chopper through the screen sure looks like the vanes of an 8 port as well!

Never realized she was once a gas powered unit, good eye! I bet she is an ex-Memphis unit but who knows.
