Something I never realized...

Thu Mar 09, 2023 2:42 am

I found this photo not too long ago of some British sirens. I thought they were all the same size. Now that I know they are not, I'm curious about their horsepower and motor rpm. if any British siren fellows would like to chime in, please do. Thanks. -Sentry88

Hello, fellow siren enthusiasts. I am losing interest, but will be back on the board from time to time.

I had thought so as well because the poles are always proportional and from a distance they all look the same.

Here's a link to a website that has all three siren in the photo you provided in this website: http://www.ringbell.co.uk/ukwmo/Page216.htm

AFAIK, the siren on the far left is a Gents Syren 10/12 port Air Raid Siren, I assume its a 4HP. We have a genuine one and many 12/14 port lookalikes that we suspect were also made by Gents.

Here's this image below about the Syren. (Link Provided)
