Just yesterday, I drove all the way out to Illinois and purchased this Thunderbolt siren from a friend of mine who is also a siren enthusiast (WindyCitySirens on youtube)! This is unit T4053-DR from Dimondale, MI, however it has a mismatched chopper and has a 1950's 1000 chopper instead. I'm glad to say I finally own one of these awesome sirens!

Congratulations - that's a nice-looking siren! I'd love to get a Thunderbolt sometime, but I need to get my Model 5 running before I can get that far :D

Thank you! Unfortunately, I do not have a blower for it quite yet. I may get one in the future though.

I'm curious - are there any modern blower substitutes for the Thunderbolt that don't require 15 horsepower? I don't know enough about blowers to understand the relationship between power, pipe size, and air flow. I'd hope we've come some way since the siren was designed over 50 years ago.

Leaf blower I guess as a temporary solution.
