The Siren Board

While playing around on Google Maps, I found something very interesting in the small town of Severance, KS, which is a ways west of St. Joseph, MO. On the ground next to the city hall is an ACA Allertor. And the most interesting part, is this photo was only taken 3 weeks ago.

The city of Highland, KS, which is north of Severance, used to have an Allertor on their water tower based off an older google maps image. Since this water tower has now been demolished, I'm wondering if this might be that Allertor.

Regardless, if anybody lives in that region, and potentially wants to buy an ACA Allertor, this might be a good lead. I don't know if it's operational, but where it's on the ground it may be something the city would consider selling. It's worth the shot to try and save this unit before it deteriorates.

Upon further evaluation from other enthusiasts, it is very likely that is Allertor is Ex-WAWAS, which makes it even more unique.

There could be a shot that it'll be up somewhere around Severance.

This siren is ex-WAWAS. It's definitely has got some years before it gives way. Unfortunate that they missed their installation window in the 90s.
