How to get "Attack Mode"?

I am planning to acquire a brand new Federal Model A.

I will use it as an exterior siren for my home security system. It will received power from my home's electrical system. I will have the electrical work done by a professional electrician.

I plan to just use a simple on/off electrical switch to manually activate the siren.

But how do I get an "Attack Mode", as opposed to a constant wail?

You'd need a separate timer or controller in between the siren and the switch. You can either create one yourself, or find one second hand. The timer is what is responsible for the siren turning on and off, making the Attack signal.

I'm not comfortable with electrical work...I'd rather buy one. Do you have a good one to recommend?

There are automatic timers with adjustable cycle lengths available online. To keep everything compact, find one rated for the load you are controlling. At 120VAC, I recommend 2A or greater.

I'm not familiar with electrical components...might you have a specific website or model to recommend in response to the following you wrote?: "There are automatic timers with adjustable cycle lengths available online."
