How does that work exactly? I'm assuming something in that rear part has to do with it where something like a fan's spun by air.

I’m guessing it works something like a turbocharger. I could be wrong though.

It was probably ran off an air compressor.

I'm not to smart about this kind of siren but what I figured is that if you were to look over on the bottom left corner there is a little air compressor nut, so essentially it ran from a tube probably connected to a timer or manual button and to a air compressor. The air then rotates the chopper then releasing the noise from the siren. Hopefully this might help someone who wants information on this for a project. :)

In Kathryn, ND. I'm 50% positive it could be some sort of Decot from the outline.

If you like sirens, you are unique. I'm still waiting to hear East Greenwich Township's STH-10.

It looks like an exhaust vent to me.
I could be wrong, but I think this thread is best suited for clear, coherent pictures of sirens that are of an unknown make/model. If it's just a blurry blob, there's nothing we can really do here besides make stuff up.
Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.
