Re: Restoring one of Milwaukee's Gasoline Mobil Directos!

Tue Dec 20, 2022 1:23 am

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Still waiting on Mike at WSS to get back to me on whether he has my payment or not. Will give him a call/email tommorow.

Got the new fuel pump installed on Friday. Suprise Surprise, the new one pulled fuel and primed the lines without a problem at all!

Getting the snowblower back onto the Bolens 1050 has taken priority in the shop the past couple days. Now waiting on parts for that!

Quick Update.

No real progress to report, subzero temperatures in my unheated shop, plus demands of getting tractors hooked back up to snowblowers have limited my time over the past couple weeks to work on the MD

GOOD NEWS- Mike at WSS received my check, and the 1st Gen Allertor projector assembly got shipped out this week. Should see it by early to late next week

Whoo-hoo! I am excited to see how it looks on the MD. I hope that it will work and look like the original.

Just wondering how many hours did this take so far?

Very good question! Joe probably had about 50-100 hrs into the restoration, I'm probably pushing closer to 100 at this point. Lots of few minutes here and there.

It should fit just fine as the Allertor projector was directly molded off of the MD one. Pottsvilles MD already has a 2nd gen Allertor projector on it
