Re: Siren Hunt in Cobb County, GA & Bibb County, GA

Is that the lake wildwood Thunderbeam? Yep! That's the one! Nice photos! The FS where Cobb #7 is located actually has an Austell address..although the Methodist Church across road has a Smyrna address! It's one of only 3 functioning Tbolts in the county now. Smyrna's STH-10s were silenced a few yea...

Re: 2001-DC, Fast Wail w/ Echo - Glympville, SC 11/16/13

Why do they have two (practically the same) sirens serving different purposes and mounted almost by each other? Couldn't they use ONE OF those sirens for both purposes? Well, the 2001-DC is controlled by Newberry County Emergency Management and the 2001-SRNB is controlled by VC Summer Nuclear Plant.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcYCqt3_SkE Here's the video of the siren. The fast wail timing seems it is not perfect. I was told that a couple of firefighters in Newberry County, SC knows what a Thunderbolt siren is . Anyway, here are some photos of the siren: https://scontent-b-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/h...
