Sirens In New England 2.0

So my old map "Sirens in New England" was in need of some love, as a lot of the information on there was inaccurate and/or outdated. I decided to create a new map (on my second Google account) with better information. Here's the link below: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1BIORX...

Re: New Hampshire Diaphone?

Hmmm. The only set of horns I know of in that area that *may* be active are the ones at the Seabrook FD. I heard somewhere that they sound every day at 12:30. You're right, the ones in Hampton and Hampton Falls are inactive, but keep in mind that you may not hear tones on your scanner if the horns a...

I really don't think having tones in videos makes a difference. People should be free to add in the tones if it gives them the effect they want for their videos. Re: Sirens in Massachusetts

There are quite a few on the cape, and others are scattered around. There's a Super Sirex in Holyoke, which sounds every Friday at noon (except in the winter). NE Mass also has some 3016's and 4008's for the plant in Seabrook NH, but they don't test regularly. This map may help you: https://drive.go...

Re: The Only Thunderbolt In The State Of Maine

It's not active, its just an old CD siren. There may be more Bolts in Portland, but I haven't found any yet.

Re: Seabrook NH question

I believe the individual towns are now in charge of when they test. I haven't found any of the schedules, but a friend of mine on Hampton Beach said he hears them all the time. In Portsmouth, the sirens change position occasionally (though I've never caught them in the action, lol), but they always ...

Re: The "Various Sirens" series and others

I can help you with any of the New England states. Also, are you planning to make maps of ME and VT?
