Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

I know it's been a while guys, but this was something I noticed that I'm not sure if I mentioned before in this discussion or not, but has anyone noticed how the analog Whelen's in Franklin County rotate the opposite way on the second cycle so that they shutoff right at the North position? I've noti...

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

I believe none, all the analogs are now on 4004 heads or have been replaced entirely. There are around 4-5 analogs left if I recall correctly. I should be filming one of them this summer. There are actually quite a few more analog 4004's than that. There are 2 analogs in Canal Winchester, 2 in Reyn...

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

Now, a more serious topic. Is the Ohio Statewide Tornado Drill going to happen this year? I haven't seen anything about it being cancelled, but I'm still not 100% sure about it happening.

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

If anyone is aware of the 4004 near the intersection of McKinley and Trabue Roads near Hilliard, this siren recently got moved about 800 feet north of its old location, to make room for new apartments. Also probably because it was really close to the apartments there already. I went by there the ot...

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

The one at McCord had the 2030 by the time I recorded it in April of 2014. I'm not sure exactly when the one at McCoy had its controller swapped, but it couldn't have been any earlier than June of 2013 considering SRP recorded it at that time and it still had the digital controller. That means the ...

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

Can we confirm that McCoy Park's WPS-4004 has the analog ESC-864 that came off of McCord Parks's WPS-3016? Cutoff pitch is the exact same, and both had their controllers swapped at around the same time period. The one at McCord had the 2030 by the time I recorded it in April of 2014. I'm not sure e...

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

Did I hear the southwest zone do a full 3 minutes the second activation yesterday? Could’ve sworn I heard an ESC-2020 at 12:05. Perhaps one siren failed to pick up cancellation tones. There's quite the possibility, I heard tones come through Franklin County's frequency about a minute or so after th...

Cutoff pitch is the exact same, and both had their controllers swapped at around the same time period. McCord's WPS-3016 now has an ESC-2030 (like 95% of the 3016's in the county), which was or...

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

I'm pretty sure Fairfield tested, considering my brother heard sirens at my house while I was gone, and I live in Fairfield County, about 1.5 miles from the WPS-3000. No RWT for weather radios either.

Re: Franklin County, Ohio Siren Discussion

Did Franklin County test 3 times today? Or am I on something. Could've sworn I heard the two analogs in Canal go off more than twice.
