Re: ACA Hurricane 130 siren

Neat! The only info I could find about Point Beach's old system is that they had P-50s, RM-127s, a Cyclone and an Allertor.

Several other Nuclear Plants had Hurricanes. Cook in Michigan, Crystal River in Florida, Kewaunee in Wisconsin, And Point Beach in Wisconsin.
I don’t think Point Beach or Kewaunee had hurricanes, but I could be wrong. All I know they had a system of P-50s, RM-130s, A Cyclone and Allertor.

Re: Statewide Tornado Drill Cancellations

From what I know, Wisconsin hasn’t canceled yet as of now. I plan to record a 2001-130 about 2,425 feet from my house. I might hear the McFarland 2001-SRN and 508, and the T-128 near Hwy 51 and the Beltline. It makes a pretty cool siren mix and chilling ambience. UPDATE 4/3/20: Wisconsin’s Drill isn...

That looks like a T-112, but the squares are projected outward. I’m not even sure if it’s a siren...

Re: Thunderbolts in existence

In Clintonville WI, there’s a Thunderbolt 1000 mounted right next to a 10/16 Decot. An archived version of Archon’s recording of only the 1000 sounding off can be viewed on TNT’s channel. However there are more videos of it sounding off with the Decot.

Re: Sirens that currently Alternate Wail for Test

Saint Paul, Nebraska has a Thunderbolt 1003 that does Alternate Wail as a fire signal and is tested every month.

The ACA Cyclone 125 in Williams Bay is my personal fav. Sadly it got disconnected years ago.

Post your weather radios here.

I’m not sure if people on the board collect weather radios, but I have been a collector for a few years. Here’s a list on what I have:

La Crosse 810-805 (broken)
Midland WR-120
Eton Solarlink FR370
Reecom R-1350

(Currently trying to find a WR-100 near me)

Re: Opinions on the federal signal 3t22

I’ve seen 3T22s, and they are pretty nice to take care of. Although I don’t have one, I have seen many enthusiasts restore sirens like this. One example is a 2T22B in Rhine, GA. The 2T22B was restored and was louder than its original installment. According to a video, the siren can be heard beyond 3...
