Othello, wa at city hall. Still active. A large number of FS and FE sirens were installed in towns and even random rural areas around Hanford nuke site in the 40s-60s. Most of which were model 5s and 3s.
Both sirens are active and sound at noon everyday. My son and I made a special visit to the fire station today. We were able to play with the Sterling M10 that was removed from the old city hall back in 2003. I have a question for the experts. Why does this siren have split ports?? All other m10 pic...
Both sirens were tended to in the mid-late 90's. I also found out the city did have a Sterling M-10, and nobody seems to know what happened to it after it was taken down.
A thunderstorm rolled over town Sunday morning. A lightning strike triggered the Fire attack signal.
The noon siren test was disabled the following two days, but have since been reactivated.
