Re: What siren can be heard the furthest away?

I mean, loud doesn’t mean distance. It certainly helps with the distance, but it has a lot to do with the geography of the location, and frequency of the sound.

If it’s called 1003 because it can do 3 signals, that’s what Fs said, would a 1000 be a 1002 for its two signals?
no.
Yeah I’m dumb

Re: Post your best Thor Guard Lightning Siren Photos

I have actually never seen a Thor guard. Apparently there are some at a golf course in Edina MN, a city bordering mine, but I haven’t seen them

Re: Johnson county (Olathe ks) siren system

That’s similar to what happened in Eden Prairie. In 2015 they took out all the ACA 125s, the PN-20s and even two or so PP-15s (complete waste of money) They replaced very single siren with 2001-130s. And they added like 20+ around the city. There’s a spot where you can stand and see two 2001s in the...

Missing a test (AUUUGH)

So I was sick last Wednesday. The TEST was last Wednesday.

I missed the Minnesota test on the one day of the year I could have gone (besides the summer).
Apparently I wouldn’t have gone anyways because I was sick, but still :(

Tell me your experiences of missing tests or getting stuff wrong

Re: Is it possible?

Well I’ve seen Model As upside down a few times. It is just a smaller Omni directional siren (kind of omni), so it could work with like Model 2/3/5/7s, T22 sirens, Sentries, STHs and STLs. I don’t think a thunder beam would work since it’s a pulley system.

I’ll be coming for sure! Already applied and I’m getting to get out of school early for it!

I’ll be bringing my Model A and Model B-9 for a little show off.

…I keep procrastinating putting my model A back together…

Re: Civil Defense Logo Recreation

I once saw a 3T22 box (removed and replaced with a beautiful red STH-10) that remained even though the 3T22 was gone and it had the “FS&S” original logo and the Civil Defense sticker with the “this is a unit of your civil defense” on the side. It was extremely faded though and I could barley rea...
