Re: The replacement siren for the Thunderbolt.

I'm not so sure. I see a lot more 2001's around than 508's. That's because the 2001 has been out since the late 80s early 90s. The 508 didn't come out until 2012-2013 I think. The 508 came out in late Spring of 2012. I specifically remember being on a vacation to Washington DC that summer and the h...

Sorry for bumping, but I know you wanted me to see this. It's nice to have some closure knowing what siren this is now.

Yeah, you're probably right that they had no idea how ungodly loud the 40v2t was, hence why they blocked off some of the ports.

You will get far more help here than you will get here. The A-200 is an amazing horn though.

Re: Can Anyone ID This Horn?

Yep, definitely a resonator. Look up "Federal Signal 55" on Youtube to find videos of horns like this.

Nothing like a slow to wind-up STL-10 doing attack off in the distance to make you want to s**t yourself.

Re: T-1000 Questions (A lot of them)

Yep, you definitely do not want to apply any power when measuring resistance. You also want to make sure you have the multimeter hooked up properly when measuring certain things or else you will get some smoke or maybe even some fireworks.

Re: Sentry 40V1T?

You can easily custom-order a 40v1t. It's not like Sentry would have to fabricate any new parts. Why a religious school would custom-order a siren is a mystery to me in the first place. That could be an argument for the siren being a regular 40v2t.

Re: Video of LOTS of horns

Man, I LOVE the sound of that Cunningham 6B! That is an extremely rare horn and it just has the perfect sound.

The A-300 and RS5T sound great, too. The latter gives me chills every time I hear it.

That's it! You can't see it from the street anyways.

I will shoot Scott an e-mail right now!

Re: Sentry 40V1T?

I think there's a 40V2T at a church in New York. The 40V1T is supposed to be a single-toned version of the 40V2T basically, but I don't know if they've actually started selling any yet. The full name of it is the 40V1T-B by the way, the B meaning it's supposed to be able to operate on batteries. It...
