I would check on your possible Thunderbolt before spend any money on that Sterling. The T-bolt would be a much better siren to restore and to use.

Top box is the disconnect and the bottom one is the motor starter with a reset button. So the disconnect obviously cuts power on and off to the motor starter, and the bottom box starts and stops the siren with the push of a button? So more than likely no attack, or any other function other than on ...

Well that cover may have made this restore less of a pain! Usually the ones i've dealt with have been exposed to the elements and had lots of corrosion! Let us know as things progress!

You will need to have the motor checked and see if its capable of running. Not to rain on the parade but the number of Sterlings I've seen usually are not salvageable without spending a huge amount of money. Its a great idea to see if the siren can be rebuilt though if not let me know and I can help...

Compulert... oh boy. Wonder if they've fixed the flaw where commands stack up and it causes your siren to run for forever.

Logan called me after he got to the EMA office and I tried to walk them through shutting it down remotely but since the encoder does not have the capability to do siren off they had to go unhook it manually. Probably the local activation keypad (on the front of the siren). I suggest they unplug it ...
