Re: Federal Model B siren found

Interesting. I've never seen a Model B with ports like that before. Usually they're split down the middle (can't think of a better way to describe it) so they have a dual-tone appearance, like this one: http://i807.photobucket.com/albums/yy358/EliteSEAL/Sirens/DSC04396_zps8ebc1da8.jpg Comparing the ...

Re: Dual Toned Sterling/Federal Lion?

Wow! I didn't know they made those in dual-tone. I wonder if it's possibly more than two tones...but it doesn't really look like it. Wonder what it sounds like.

Re: Police Stations With Sirens

The only one I have ever seen in person is this STH-10 in Woodstock, NY. (Hippie land, haha.) Sorry for all the branches in the way. I took the photo from the parking lot next door because I didn't want to actually pull into the police station and start taking pictures, haha. NY cops can be jerks. h...

Re: CT outdoor warning signal map

There's a Model 5 on a firehouse at this location: https://goo.gl/maps/njBz7

There's also an STH-10 somewhere along I-84 in the Danbury area, but sadly I don't remember the exact location.

Really? That's not what I've been told in the past. People always mix the two companies up though, so who knows.

Actually I believe it's a Darley Model 3. GCS sirens have a flat top.

That 2T22 looks pretty comical. How long has it been like that?

Re: 2015 Minnesota Siren Meet

I might be able to go. I've been wanting to take a fishing trip to the Great Lakes, and I have a friend in Michigan whom I can visit on the way out. I won't know anything for sure for a while though.

Re: Forums have been upgraded! (somewhat!)

Haha, this looks exactly like another board that I administrate at. So is it still going to have this layout (but with more "Siren Board"-esque customization), or is it going to look exactly like the old board? I do like this layout because I'm used to it, but I'm fine with the older style...

Re: WERDEN OPEN HOUSE

Oh come on. It's just a word. Just a specific combination of four characters. I honestly do not see why some people get so offended by certain words. The only time I'd ever be offended by a swear word would be if it was directed at me in a mean way, and even then it'd be no different than if someone...
