Re: Lowest mounted Siren in US

I have seen the model 2 here before while driving through the town. Not sure if it is active or not. It has been at least 4 months since I last seen it. It's about a 45 min drive for me.

Changing a model 2 to a model 2t.

I have both a model 2 and a model 2t. The model 2 is in better shape. I would like to take the motor out of the model 2 into the 2t. Are both units pretty much put together the same way? Does anyone have diagrams available for both units.

Thanks!

Tornado siren timer

I have a couple of what appears to be homemade siren timers that replaced the old siratrol units on nearby t-bolts. They have since been replaced by 2001s. The homemade board also was equipped with a federal signal informer for the radio activation. Has anyone ever come into contact with this setup ...

Model 2t ambience

Does anyone have several model 2ts in your area that you have the ability to record the ambience of the model 2ts?

Montgomery nor Warren County set their sirens off. We are not even under a watch or a warning for severe weather.

Ohio state wide tornado siren testing

Ohio will be testing their torndao sirens, today at 0950 hrs (weather permiting). Some counties do not participate. I am in the Montgomery / Warren county area (T-bolt 1000ts and 2001's). There are not too many 1000ts left (Mont. Co.), as they are all being replaced by 2001s.

West Carrollton had a Thunderbeam at the High School but blew over during Hurican Ike and was replaced by a 2001. They also have a Thunderbeam near the old Fire Station #1 which is on Central, east of Elm Street. A 2T on Ironwood at Blanche and a 2T on Lake Forest east of Skyview. Miamisburg just ha...
