Re: eBay find, Thunderbolt... 2000?

First time for everything eh? Yea I was going to mention that too but I also wanted to add: perhaps if he's doing an auction or something he might have started the bids higher... but it still doesn't seem like a good move... You never know if the seller is good or bad. The siren could be a lemon wh...

Re: Worst-Condition STH-10 I've Seen

This STH-10 is in the worst condition of any that I have ever seen. It goes along the lines of several Florida Model 2s where the housing has turned into a few strips of rusted metal. This siren is located south of Leeville, LA...better known as the Gulf of Mexico. http://civildefensesirens.com/Pos...

Re: Central Florida & Surrounding Siren Dicussion

@TOXBOX12 That is DEFINITELY a Thunderbolt. The building that it's mounted on is the Municipal Services Building in Downtown St. Petersburg. It's an old 50s era Thunderbolt 1000, installed to warn of enemy missiles from Russia during the Cold War.

Re: Gatlinburg Trip Sirens

in the videos of people escaping, there were no sirens sounding. I asked if there were any sirens in the area and they said they weren't, and after this they are pushing to try and get warning sirens and R911.[/quote] @Zarlog Oh yeah? Then what's that on the pole? I saw this in Gatlinburg in 2012.

Re: Gatlinburg Trip Sirens

I was told by DJ226 that he believed that 2 were destroyed. I saw your reply on someone's comment that said all the sirens went off to warn of the fires. How did you find that out?

Re: Gatlinburg Trip Sirens

I think at least two of the Whelens in Gatlinburg were destroyed in the recent wildfires. :(

@Matt There are Modulators at MacDill AFB, and there's a Thunderbolt on top of the Pinellas County Jail.
