Re: South-ish Vancouver Island, BC (and Galiano Island) siren test times?

Tofino's system of Modulators tests every Friday of the month at 11AM. Predator Ridge has a siren test schedule on their website, the next test being a growl test of their siren tomorrow at 2PM, they alternate between AC and DC tests every month. They have a T-128 at their fire station. I'm not sure...

Re: Hi, I'm the owner of the 2nd known Cosgrave/Codwell

No, these are mechanically complex and this one is in very poor shape. It might be rude to say this, but you and your friends sound like you're on the young side. A siren like this requires experience and knowledge, as well as skill to restore, because if something breaks, there's no fixing it easil...

Re: Dominican Republic Cosgrave siren

The claim originated from Justin Hockings on the Siren Enthusiasts Facebook group. Seeing as the photo is from a distance, and there aren't any high quality images of the siren available, I can't personally confirm that it really is a Cosgrave. As such, the Wiki does not claim it to be one for sure....

Here's a picture of the 500 that was on the Avalon Manor.

Is that a 500-DHTT with a missing cone or just a regular 500?
It's an early 500-SH.

Re: Miscellaneous Siren Photos Thread

It's a B&M 20-AR-10 with one of the rotors removed. Either the motor died or they didn't have three phase. It hasn't been used in 20 years and doesn't work anymore, according to the town.

Proof of these claims? I don’t believe that a user with one post knows this information. Please send a screenshot or something to confirm. This right here. This info is coming from somebody with zero credibility or evidence so far. Let's take this with a very heavy grain of salt until evidence is g...
