Re: Does a whelen controller work with an EOWS?

Okay, I'm gonna need some pictures. I've seen electronic sirens running on controllers from another company, but never mechanical sirens. With the exception of the 2001s in LaPorte County running on ASC Controls.

Re: ASC T-128 siren synth

I'm curious as to what base waveform you started off with. Because the wind-up doesn't sound very much like a sawtooth wave, which is what I use when making mechanical siren synths. The tonal characteristics are pretty close, but the timing sounds more like an analog Whelen controller in attack mode...

Re: Complete siren controller audio library

Understood, that clears everything right up. Thank you. Something to note about the ESC-2020 and ESC-2030 controllers is that they will not wind down if the signal is cancelled by the button panel on the controller. If you don't have a Whelen encoder + radio and a radio + decoder in the controller, ...

Re: Complete siren controller audio library

After some in-depth side-by-side comparisons in Audicity with a recording of a Whelen Vortex with an ESC-2030, I've come to the conclusion that the tones in your " whelen ESC-2030 " folder are not genuine ESC-2030 tone recordings. The air horn tone is several pitches lower than that on an ...

Re: Complete siren controller audio library

I woud shy away from taking tone recordings from company websites, as they typically are lower quality than what we would get directly from a controller, and some aren't even indicative of what an actual controller would sound like (with the exception of Whelen). But this is a fantastic idea! Siren ...

Re: 2001-SRNB and ECN In Latvia

You sure that's a 2001 or one of those 2001 clones made by Chinese company Lion King? Because I'm not seeing any Federal logos on that thing. Oh, and if you don't mind me asking, what's the story behind your username Corollagirl ? It just caught my attention because I happen to be quite the Corolla ...

Re: CTI Rebranded Thunderbolts!?

Yes, it's been on the forum for a while now. https://www.airraidsirens.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12591&hilit=cti&start=50 CTI was the siren manufacturer subdivision of a construction / siren installation company called Compliance Technologies. A man named Ben Shinn had, as far as I was able...

Re: Abandoned Alertronic in Rhinelander, Wisconsin

Well.....that's...an interesting find. How long has it been there? I'd reckon a decade at least.
