Re: Castle Casting Siren in the United States

Actually, I think my vote goes to this being a CLM mailbox siren. In the night time video shown, the siren has a raspier sound to it(at least to me) where castle casting sirens seem to have a more smooth sound to them. Listen to the night time activation and then to this. https://m.youtube.com/watch...

Re: Choices on siren replacements. Any Ideas?

If I was going to replace it with a directional siren, I would put in a Federal Signal 508. It has a distinct deep tone which will travel far. If they are looking for a omnidirectional siren I would go with Sentry. They have many omnidirectional siren models that each appeal to different coverage ne...

Re: My new Model 5b Siren

Very nice! When I went to West Shore Services I Was planning to try and get one of these or a banshee, but then I saw a STL-10 I said yes before I even thought about it. It has been fun with the sirens I got from Jeff, but one is three phase and the STL-10 has a single phase motor beyond repair XD. ...

Re: ASC's website has been redone.

Personally I don't see why everyone is making a big deal about the new logo. It may not look nice but as long as they keep making great sirens, that is all that matters. The only thing that I feel torn about is the new website set up. It works, but I feel like the website was better organized the wa...

Re: Prototype Electronic Siren Controllers Coming Soon - INPUT NEEDED!

You should have 120v and 240v switchable voltages. This is so you can use the panel for 120v sirens like a Model A but then could use the 240v on a outdoor warning siren like a Model 5. Also if going into big detail maybe make it AC/DC changeable.

Re: Thunderbolt 1000T Lansing, Michigan

Yea, I was a little disappointed when they only did a 30 second blast considering I had seen the older lengthy test videos with 30 second blast, full alert, then full attack but it was still cool because this was my first 1000T I have seen. The first mod II that I saw was at the intersection of Harr...

Thunderbolt 1000T Lansing, Michigan

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlB7MnfqvVU So I originally was going to record a Thunderbolt 1003 but it was replaced by a 2001-130 so I pulled up the siren map and we shot over to this 1000T. Sorry for talking during the vid, I was trying to give my parents a heads up about the siren starting. Dur...
