Sentry Sirens In Australia

Hey all, This week me and HX56 did some digging to find more about the Sentry sirens here in Australia. We looked back into Santos Moomba Gas Plant in Gidgealpa, SA and found that there was three 16V1T-Bs in the site. I was able to find some documentation of the Plant that had the sirens hiding in p...

Re: The weirdest sirens ever seen.

I've been working on a map of every known Sterling Siren to have existed for the past 5 or so months, and I have come across many weird things during that time. This, however, is the crown jewel of all oddities and atrocities... Meet Biscoe, North Carolina's ROTATING Model M. https://maps.app.goo.g...

Re: Main Outdoor Warning Sirens for homes furniture?

Hi, what is the best main outdoor warining sirens for homes furniture??? please tell me about it anyone. Federal Signal used a Modulator as a table. Cell was split in half and a glass table was bolted on top with it's drivers and throats still attached. Looks like it was made to show off its design...

Federal Signal Model A Siren Walk Around Tour

Here's the video of the Federal Signal Model A I came across in Balldale, NSW. I don't know the history or any further information at all about this siren other than it being painted yellow in some time of its life. I'll have to talk to contact the station about it sometime. Either way enjoy the vid...

Re: Plum Island, NY Whelen WS-2000-1XXs

These three are part of the Dominion Millstone EPZ since the island is within the ten mile radius. Why these were never upgraded is beyond me. Millstone is a odd ball as each the communities test the sirens on their own schedules (example being East Lyme and Waterford which test monthly) while othe...

Re: What are the speakers on drawbridges for?

I’ve been looking at drawbridges for traffic lights and sirens, and a lot of them have speakers on them. What are they used for? I believe these are bridges that split in half and rotate around to make way for all kinds of boats that have to pass through. I'm assuming that's what you're looking at....

Re: Sarnia Ontario ACA Alertronic 6000R former locations

Nope, the map is incorrect, it’s saying there was an Alertronic in the local skateboard park (which had an ATI installed in 2014). Instead the Alertronic should be in Lions Park (on the corner of Russell st and Bright St, replace by an ATI in 2002. I witnessed the testing of it in 1994, after they ...

Re: Locations for an ACA Sentry 95

There aren't any confirmed Sentry 95-branded sirens, but there are a couple Klaxon SS6s around Australia (Sentry 95 is a rebadged version of the SS6) Take a look at this map, they're few and far between but they exist: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=19dcuCmzHH7J9oIDsVuae8eZFSLYAeOE6&a...
