Well I would say that siren is for sure a response to the cold war. And there at the end of the article where it talked about Indianapolis not staging an alert since WWII would indicate the city for sure had some type of air raid system stemming from WWII. Cool article for sure.

When I was in regular contact with Indy's EMA they said they didn't know of any siren system before the Tbolts. This is an interesting find though. I've always thought that a city the size of Indy probably had some sirens in the downtown area atleast. There was a Thunderbolt on the LS Ayers building...

Indianapolis had Thunderbolts installed sometimes in the early 60's along with some of the Model 5's. Sometime in the early 70's they installed another round of Thunderbolts, Model 5's and the two SD-10's. As was already mentioned that Thunderbolt was replaced. It was done sometime in the early-mid ...

No I didn't see it. I was trying though. However by the time that I got to Tri-County the second round of storms was coming through and I was trying to not get rained on. I will say one thing about the Tri-County mall, the glass dome area leakes water pretty bad. I couldn't believe how much water wa...

Well I saw a Modulator in Newport, one of the downtown Thunderbolts and another Thunderbolt on a church near Kenwood Mall. The T-128 near my hotel is hooked up and powered on. I've got some pictures below. On our way to the Tri-County Mall I saw a T-128 in Glendale at the intersection of Congress Av...

You would be correct. I didn't see if it was on, I will when we get back there this evening. I'm at Newport on the Levee right now and swear I just heard a 1000T just growl. But there shouldnt be any reason for it. I will find out in that 128 though.

There is a T-128 right next to my hotel, i didn't see it when I got here last night. There is an STH-10 right next to it that looks like the power has already been cut.

Kokomo has not had a siren system for atleast the last 6 years that I've been heavily involved in gathering siren information in central IN. There is a company that has 4 Eclipse-8's on Kokomo's southwest side. It's really saturated coverage. And then on the south side of the city there is an STH-10...
