Part if me thinks it looks like those older model 2s with 2 louvers or those strange sirens dotted around Los Angeles.

I did now that expect the sirens to be in good condition because as far as I have heard the word Detroit, I'd imagine crumbling skyscrapers and old abandoned factories. (Don't mean to make fun of Detroit, I enjoy viewing the abandoned things from long ago).

A part of me has always wondered what old/new systemsDetroit MI has had. I know of Chicago, the Twin Cities, SanFransisco, and Los Angeles but Detroit has always caught me up; not to mention that there to my knowledge, are no known pictures of sirens in Detroit. Ahh. Just another example that old sirens are not made like they used to be. That poor beat up Thunderbolt still roars to life in this condition! Someone REALLY needs to give that bad boy some love!

Here is a pretty good one. Try to know how far away the siren you are testing is from your house so you can have plenty of time to get there. I had a very close call when testing a T-135. We got stuck behind a paint truck and by the time we got there, we were a mere 15 seconds from activation.

I would say that the ASC Quadren and the Federal Model 1 are quite rare.
