Re: Oddball EOWS 612

Yes. This is a Special Order EOWS 612 from 2006. Hawaii EMA decided to disable the rotator since it was mounted at the peak end of the hill road. The road leads up to a hill and no residential area is past the 612. There was no point in it rotating as it was better to get consistent sound directiona...

Skil/Sher Alarm Master Tour Wilby, VIC (7/11/2022)

Haven't recorded siren tours or any uploads to my channel for a while and still haven't. Anyways heres the tour of an Alarm Master Siren in Wilby, Victoria. Mounted on top of a Country Fire Authority (CFA) Fire station. This was one of 8 sirens I have not been to before on the trip I did once again....

Re: electronic siren controller tone library

I really do enjoy this. Although your Analog 480hz isn't accurate. You should put a chirp (On Linear form, 0.8 amplitude ) from 310hz to 480hz as a 48 second long windup, apply 200% Sliding stretch 4 times. For a winddown make a 480hz to 310hz winddown last 20 seconds and apply one 200% and should b...

Re: Miscellaneous Siren Photos Thread

Figured I'd contribute in the turf of down under. One of the largest types of siren here in Australia, a BGE 12/14 port siren. This one like 2 others in the area are air raid sirens. This ones an Ex. Scofield's Air Raid Siren and has been reused as a fire siren but I'm not too sure if she still runs...

Finland's Suomenlinna WPS-2750

Came across this 2750 on YouTube. It does a short 5-6 second 400hz tone during this test video. I suspect this ones a very old HSS branded siren. They've been installing their own HSS branded Whelen Omnis around Europe. I have no idea what controller it uses but its most likely using its Analog ESC-...

Re: Some mystery sirens in Israel and Greenland

The type A is an Elektror L241. Can’t be, those have 2 louvers that are pointy, while the ones in Greenland have a single rounded cap, like an E57, but with the wrong proportions. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/945153919745675324/983074825281077329/IMG_1324.png The internals look a lot like...

Re: Mount Prospect, IL Quadrens

The Quadren at Lions Park was removed, but I am not sure what happened to the one at Indian Grove School. I went to that Quadren a long time ago in Feb 2021. Indian Grove wont be removed until schools out, it'll be a slight danger handling heavy sirens while schools in and when students are around....
