Re: Fayette County KY Siren Info/History

I've made some more slight edits to this post since I was able to get some things clarified today. Firstly, all the mods installed from 2016 to now are known to be modulator IIs, so I have corrected that.

I've also added some of the photos I got of the sirens today, so there is some more visuals.

New Mods in Lexington/Fayette County KY

As promised, I have visited McConnell Springs park, and also Picadome Park and got some photos of the new modulators there. These are both of the B or Modulator II variety. Madison County KY Sirens

Hello again, I have once again visited Madison County Kentucky, but mostly the Richmond area. This time I brought my good camera along so I have some better quality photos compared to my phone. For those wondering, yes I did try to film the test today, but I just learned that at some point in time, ...

Re: Fayette County KY Siren Info/History

Thanks for the corrections, it's always nice to have someone know what's actually correct. I'm only kind of knowledgeable with the modulators, and pretty much nothing is known about the legacy system.

I'll try and make as many edits as possible to correct it a bit.

Fayette County KY Siren Info/History

Hello there again! I'm back with another little retrospective/essay on the history of a county's siren system. This time I'll be discussing my home county. I'd like to thank Doreen Birkholz from the Fayette County Emergency Management for finding me some good info. The spreadsheet for the install da...

Re: Post your leaning siren finds

Apparently back in 2015, the mod at Tates Creek Aquatic Center was leaning quite a bit.

If you look at the current streetview, it has been corrected.

Siren Activation Channels

Hey there, I have a simple question. What types of channels/frequency types are siren activation tones usually transmitted on? Currently, my best guess that I've tried to use is fire dispatch, or a dedicated activation frequency if it's listed on places like RadioReference. However, I've had specula...
