I have one of these sirens. There are some differences from the Federal Model 2. Ports is one. There is also no skirt at the frame/stator split and no intake cone on top.

I only have one guess because I did it. Besides the 4 screws that hold the ring on did you remove the other 2 screws that go down through field plates? They are threaded into the frame too.

The guys picked this one up for me so I don't know the answer to that.

The Model 2 is from Lost Creek and the Sterling is from Orwigsburg.

The 2 big Federals are a 7 and a 7T.
