Low mounted Sirens in US

I 'spose you could qualify the Cerro Negro Chrysler as being one of the lowest mounted and loudest sirens of all time.

Looks around 5m off the ground, perched on it's stand. Pity the ol' beast doesn't roar anymore.

Well lets do a comparison here. the Allertor at my house is mounted rougly 120-150 feet from my house, at normal recommended height, and rattles the windows. Those sirens, approximately 20-30 feet off of the ground, probably have broken several windows. just kinda interesting.

EL1998P71 I believe it is just CD yellow.

Where is this at? That is one of those knock-offs of a Model 5.

It's located along Illinois Hwy. 4 about 2 miles south of Staunton, IL.

This siren (which looks disconnected) is mounted pretty low and close to the road.

There is a Model 5 on a stand just like that north of me in Burrton. It's a live siren which is triggered from the firehouse.
