Detroit System Recording - June 2, 2012

Sat Jun 02, 2012 6:36 pm

So after 2 months of failed tests, Detroit resumes testing. The funny thing is the last test prior to this, they did 3 minutes of alert. However, for this test they went back to 1.5 min Alert, 1.5 min Attack. As you hear, the old sirens aren't offline. This leads me to think that whoever is in charge of setting off the sirens hasn't been doing their job. What can we say? At least Detroit's sirens are still online and operable.

Glad to see Detroit got back to testing. I was hoping to be in Hart Plaza today for the Pridefest, and I thought it'd be fun to hear the ambience from there. But, no such luck.
Viva la Thunderbolt!

1:00pm on the nose actually. I'm quite proud of them for testing in a timely manner.

there are now two modulators on Belle Isle now.
The only other siren to hear downtown would be the one in corktown. but I don't know it's status.
Also all sirens are getting solar panels.
