Hi-Lo flasher....

Sat Sep 01, 2012 8:11 pm

I always wondered what the 1003/3t22 hi-lo flashers were primarily used for.
I always thought they had to come from some other application and that they weren't used only for sirens.
Look familiar....

Duh.... A flasher for signs....
I'm going to call them and see how much the stupid things cost.
Probably a fortune...

That's a great find! I'm surprised those those old electro-mechanical units are still available.

I have an old intersection 4 way flashing light that uses the rotating disc and cam flasher. It's a pretty early one too.

Great Find Eric!

Now If they are reasonable in price, I may get one for a spare.

I used to work for a sign company and and forgot about seeing these flashers in chaser signs. They usually had three or four circuits.

Yeah. They have the multi-circuit ones too. I called them. They are still available though they didn't have any in stock for $150. I guess for that price it would be better to make one like Adam made.

Wow! That's cool! Too bad it's not 240vac though. Oh, and $150 is a bit spendy in my opinion, but it would be a good "last resort" option if it were 240vac.

They'll make 240V models too. I fully expected it to be way more than $150 for a new electromechanical flasher. I was surprised. I expected them to say $300 min. How many of these can there be a demand for? That's why I expected the price to be higher.
