Hello!

Wed May 29, 2013 4:31 am

Hi, I am new to the forums, and I live in stockton California. My family and I were driving to church one day, and I saw an old Thunderbolt, now I have lived in stockton for 15 years and never thought anything of it, but now it makes me wonder: why is it here and are there others like it. I have never seen an air raid siren in person besides the thunderbolt, and I want to know if stockton CA, has anymore sirens.

Stockton, to my knowledge, has 3 Tbolts and a Model 2. One of the Tbolts is on the town hall or something, unless that's another place in CA.

EDIT: It is Stockton. Here's a map I found.

Stockton has three thunderbolts that I know of,that T bolt fan also mentioned above. Two located at fire stations & one on the roof of city hall. They were CD sirens only.Left in place after system was shut off. Oh and welcome to the board...

Are they 1000s or 1003s?

If you had looked at the map TboltFan posted, you would see they are 1000s.

Wow, thanks you guys, but do you think that there are anymore? I knew about the 2T22, and the one by mountain mikes, but the city hall siren is new to me, and is the other tbolt for a fire station?

The last time I drove through Stockton in the 90's, I saw several older public school buildings, each of which had a yellow Model 5 on a tripod-type stand above the main building.

I was born in 96, so I did not see the old model 5's, but I don't think they Are still there
