Our 2001 would wake us up, but that wasn't so when we had the Screamer. You gotta rely on other sources, and always have a weather radio.

It is unfortunate for us.

We are in an area where we get absolutely NO NWR reception. All of these years I thought it was just the crappy RadioShack weather radios, but then I tried Midland and Oregon Scientific, and I was wrong. I emailed the NWS in Lubbock asking what the deal was and it turns out each transmitter tower has about a 30-40 mi range. Turns out Post is 35 mi from Lubbock and the newest tower installed is well over 40 mi. They said they see no time soon of us getting acceptable* reception.

*Acceptable to my standards*
