Both of those videos are of French sirens. Those French sirens are louder than they sound in the video, and they would put out somewhere around (103) Decibels at a hundred feet away.

What are the french sirens called? Who are they even made by!? They all look 100% the same :shock:

This sound exactly like the siren in Silent Hill the movie, which there was a previous post about. Sounds like this may be the siren used in the movie.

The main French siren manufacturer is KM Europ -

The siren in tboltboy's post must be on a fire station as the telephone number 18 in the pic is for the Fire Service in France (Pompiers).

French electromechanical sirens have changed very little in appearance over the years (during WWII Paris had sirens with huge horns which were spread out - not at an angle like the current design), though any new large siren system installs these days seem to be favouring electronic sirens in France (such as in Le Havre).
