Here's one in Otsego, IN
Well that's really strange. I'd like to guess there's a Federal Signal Model 5/7 hiding in there, but I can't tell.Spencerlovestrains wrote:http://maps.google.com/?q=41.540235,-84 ... l=en&gl=us

It appears to be a Darley Model 3 judging by the size of the housing. Either way it's definitely one of those vertical Darley sirens with a Federal vertical model inside (Model 3 or 5/7). Here's the best street view image I could get of it; you may have to zoom in a little since for some reason it shows up as fully zoomed out.Apillow wrote:Sorry for my extremely vague post, but does anyone know what type of siren is on The Hungry Horse fire department, in Hungry Horse, Montana? We recently went on a trip to Glacier Nat'l Park and when we left the park we saw the Hungry Horse dam.we kept driving and saw the fire department and I very quickly tried to snap a picture from a moving car... The pictures came out pretty bad, and I can't upload them now. I tried taking screenshots in google earth, but it is no more than a few pixels. I will try to give a description.
-Omnidirectional
-White bottom, Red (or rusted) Top.
-Pole Mounted
-No projector cones.
I don't know how to describe the housing... I guess I should say it is extremely, uh, round? It has a rounded top I guess. I might have seen it before on this forum. Sorry... This probably requires personal knowledge, so I don't expect a reply...
