Epic Monroe OH Siren Test

Thu Oct 06, 2016 2:08 am

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byJD7kc4qUY a while back was told Monroe replaced their 612's with 508's. Well one at least for sure got replaced, hence this one. I checked the other 612's in town but they were alone with no 508 in sight. No clue why they fixed this one since it was ungodly sick and didnt rotate

Wow! That's awesome! Really weird combination, but sounds pretty cool!

It almost seems like the EOWS is overpowering the 508. Also, why did it start off so low pitched? Isn't that bad for the drivers?

The slow winddup from what Im told is thats how they sound on the MC controls. When it was barely audible a few years back, sounded like it wound up instantly. So im sure they swapped them but why replace it when they fixed it is beyond me

The 508 is way louder, but camera is automatically adjusting the mic's levels which makes it come off as if they are on par with each other. The 508 completely drowns the 612 out when it points to the camera while the 612 is pointing the other direction, while the 612 more or less muffles the 508.

The backup camera maxes out when the 508 faces it, doesnt do anything when the 612 faces it

That is awesome! What is the purpose of keeping them both active? Besides being cool sounding lol.

The 612 is eventually coming down unless the FD uses it for firecalls, but i highly doubt it

When did Monroe get their EOWS?
