The EOWS 612 from Sheldon Park in Livonia Michigan has come back. I talked with West Shore Services a bit about acquiring it, and 1 week ago I bought it and brought it home to Livonia! While I was at WSS they told me, " if you hadn't bought it, it would've bit the dust with the rest soon". So sadly other 612's and 812's are going to be scrapped, but at least this one survives. It's still undergoing restoration at the moment, and I've already been featured on the city's Instagram page

Someone should get a 812 before there gone.
Unless you’ve actually seen the size of an 812, it’s hard to understand the amount of time and effort it would take to transport and store what amounts to be a useless rotating speaker. The thing is the size of a small car.
Trust me, I'd love to save one of Bay City's 812s, but I simply have no room. I'm moving in a couple of years so hopefully I can expand my siren collection later. The 612 is big enough (Half a story tall), I'm sure an 812 would be almost overwhelming
